FitnessGenes Partners with Zinzino to Bring Omega-3 Testing and Personalised Supplementation to Customers

FitnessGenes are pleased to announce a new partnership with Zinzino, giving customers access to at-home omega-3 blood testing and personalised supplementation through a single provider.

The partnership responds directly to customer demand. In recent FitnessGenes customer data, just under 68% rated omega-3 as their top supplement for optimising health and longevity - making it the most highly rated supplement across the entire customer base.

That interest is well founded. Research using the Omega-3 Index - a measure of EPA and DHA as a percentage of red blood cell fatty acids - has found it to be a strong predictor of all-cause mortality, with some studies suggesting its predictive power is comparable to that of smoking status. Despite this, most people have never had their Omega-3 levels measured, and dietary intake alone is a poor guide to what's actually circulating in the body.

Through the partnership, FitnessGenes customers can now order a Zinzino omega-3 blood test directly from FitnessGenes' website. The test measures 11 fatty acids, returning both an Omega-3 Index and an omega-6:3 ratio. Customers can then use Zinzino's BalanceOil to correct their levels, with follow-up testing to confirm the change.
